To meet surging demand for HDPE corrugated pipes, market leader Industrie Polieco MPB relies on SABIC Europe, a global partner with world-class customer service.
Light, flexible, easy to install and very durable, HDPE corrugated pipes are rapidly replacing PVC and concrete sewage systems. In response to this rising market growth, Industrie Polieco MPB, the largest producer of corrugated pipes in Europe, will open a new plant in Greece in 2007, as well as one in Slovakia. Next year, it will also operate a brand new compounding plant in the Middle East, in Dubai.

Handling volume
Every year, SABIC supplies Polieco with high volumes of HDPE for its production plants in Italy, Spain and France. Polieco's corrugated pipes are widely used for no-pressure sewage and drainage, but also as cable ducts for electrical or telecommunication wires. Additionally, through its partner Palbox Industriale, Polieco also buys different specialty HDPE grades (i.e. PE80 and PE100) from SABIC for the manufacture of pressure pipes for water and gas.
Meeting customer needs
A similar way of doing business and a high performance standard characterize the nearly decade-long relationship between SABIC and Industrie Polieco MPB. Polieco's pressure pipe company Palbox Industriale, for instance, forms only a relatively small part of the Polieco's turnover, but it is essential to being able to offer customers every kind of pipe product they may need.
"Especially when it comes to the technically more demanding production of pressure pipes, we are glad to be able to rely on the professional support from SABIC's technical staff, be it by tests in their own lab facilities or on site at Palbox Industriale" confirms Caldera.
